Dental Surgery – Hervey Bay

Queensland Interior Linings was employed to attend to the works of a brand-new Dental Surgery established in the Hervey Bay. Work commenced late 2021 and continued through to early 2022. Firstly, this project began externally consisting of the installation of top hat framing to steel structure and fixing James Hardie ExoTec®cladding to the external side of the building to make weather tight. This cladding is designed for low rise, high rise and commercial building facades, fascia’s and soffits. It is suitable for non-combustible construction.

Hardie’s fibre cement is resistant to fire, termites, rot and damage from moisture. Internal works then began consisting of a suspended ceiling, suspended TCR, top cross rails and a grid ceiling system. Light gauge steel stud and track walls were built with a seismic design system. Insulation throughout the internal walls and ceilings was installed before plastering took effect. Within the communications room a fire rated plasterboard was installed, all other walls and ceilings were the application of standard plasterboard.
