Plastering for Tingalpa Homes and Sheds

Tingalpa has a real mix of post-war timber homes, brick low-sets, newer townhouses, and light industrial sheds. Older homes around here often need packing or battening out before we hang fresh plasterboard, simply because old timber frames twist over time. Modern townhouses tend to need tidy patch repairs or acoustic sheets, where any sound rating depends on installing to the specified system. In local trade sheds and warehouses, we put up impact-resistant boards and framed bulkheads built for everyday knocks.

Residential plastering

If you are opening up a living room, putting up a stud wall, or sorting out a renovation, we take care of the sheet fixing and setting. We keep joints tight and feather out our top coats so your walls and ceilings finish flat across every room.

Commercial plastering

We build suspended grid ceilings, shop bulkheads, and fire-rated walls for local offices and warehouse units. Where fire or acoustic ratings are required, we install strictly to the manufacturer's specified system so the build performs as designed.

Ceiling installation & replacement

Storm leaks, rusted screws, and sagging battens will quickly ruin an overhead lining. We replace damaged sheets, patch water-stained sections, and re-screw loose ceilings back to the joists. Once the joints are set and sanded, the ceiling line sits flat and clean again.

Tingalpa plastering FAQs

Can you fix cracked plaster caused by foundation movement?

Yes. Tingalpa has areas with reactive clay, and ground movement pulls on timber frames. We rake out the split, tape the joint with paper tape, and bed it in with trade-grade compound to give it the best chance of holding up against ongoing movement.

How do you repair ceiling damage from roof leaks?

Once the leak is fixed, we cut out the soft, water-damaged plasterboard back to sound timber. We screw in new sheets, tape the joins, and apply three coats of compound, feathering the edges out so you cannot see the repair under paint.

How do I get a quote?

Use the form at the top of this page and attach a few photos. We will reply with next steps or arrange an inspection.

What affects the price?

Size of the area, access, ceiling height, board condition and finish. Photos and measurements help us price accurately.
